Neurofeedback
Using proven technology, we can strengthen your brain’s capacity to focus,
make decisions, and manage stress-related emotions.
What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback training (or “EEG biofeedback”) is a simple, painless solution for a wide variety of conditions. It is carried out by use of non-invasive sensors placed on the scalp to record activity from different areas of the brain.
I use a range of state of the art equipment to interpret this information to produce meaningful visuals and graphs (or “feedback”) of your brain activity in real-time. Using this feedback, you can practice regulating your brain function. With practice and a little guidance, you can use this to improve how your brain is working. I regularly use neurofeedback to treat ADHD, PTSD, generalized anxiety, and more.
Who can it help?
Neurfeedback can be effective in people of all ages to treat a variety of conditions including psychosomatic conditions like migraines, insomnia, hypertension, and digestive issues. But it really shines when used to improve attention & focus, and to manage stress-related emotions.
In my consulting practice, I use it as part of an executive coaching regimen to help athletes & executives to optimize situational awareness, reaction time & creativity.
Over 400 peer-reviewed articles—including randomized and double-blind studies—have shown that neurofeedback can effectively treat multiple mental health disorders including ADHD, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and more. These conditions often have a neurofunctional cause. Neurofeedback treats these conditions by targeting different brainwaves and training the brain to change these patterns over time.
How does it work?
Delivered fully remote, you can improve your mental performance from anywhere on any schedule.
We begin with an assessment of your brain and then design a training protocol—typically 12 weeks long—tailored specifically to get the results you’re seeking. Regular check-ins will help you stay on track.
When your protocol is complete, you will own the equipment and be ready to continue training on your own, or embark on a whole new protocol to improve a different aspect of your mental performance.
If you’ve been disappointed with the results or format of traditional therapy, let’s try this.
